I am one of the admins at South Park Archives and Star jam167 has been frequenting there since their ban here. This is a conversation we had. I am not expecting you to intervene but having multiple accounts and cheating their blocked status is against the rules. Thank you.
I'm currently stressing over this whole situation while I'm down at the shore with my family. I should be spending time with my family but, I proved my point. I was gone for literally one day and star jam made a new account and Xenomorph was strangely globally banned from the Wikia network.
I just wanted to ask you a question. Why was Mr. Xenomorph blocked from the wiki? It seemed like he wasn't doing anything wrong, but he said that he was blocked due to disruption. And would he be able to continue editing on the wiki anytime soon?
One more thing...would you happen to have an email address or any other way of contacting you? Xenomorph said that he asked Wikia Support and they closed the request...and i think he may need to talk to you about something...
...and Star jam is at it again with the pictures...this time it was Karate kid19 and I...
That badge is that you make 100 edits in the same aritcle in less than a hour. Can you disable the badge? It seems the badge is kinda against the rules. It's just a suggestion
Please refrain from making multiple edits to the same article or multiple articles in one sitting. Such behavior serves as grounds for potential warnings as well as temporary suspension of your user account.
There are areas where the requirements for the badge are excusable. That rule was put into place mostly because Star Jam happened. Things Star Jam did were practically living proofs that there will always be someone to ruin the fun for everyone.
A clarification I should have made in the rules is that if you are going to do multiple edits, at least mark the edit as a 'minor edit' before submitting the changes.
In Star Jam's case however, he was literally editing like one word then submitting the edit, returning to the page, making one edit, rinse and repeat as if he was actually trying to farm edits.
It's more of a common sense thing. Like whenever any good thing comes into existence, there's the way a product is supposed be used and then there's the unorthodox (and sometimes illegal) ways to use a product (hypothetically speaking).
The badges can't really be changed as far as I remember without haven't to disable badges altogether. I didn't make the requirements. They're all preset achievements made by wikia. I only came up with images for all the badges.
Nah the 'minor edit' feature has been around since 2007 (that's as far back as I remember). As for him, he's STILL trying to get me to unban him (which isn't ever going to happen at this point because he clearly isn't learning his lesson.
The other sad thing is, he is trying to get me banned at the community central. But, the admins are catching his bluff lol. We gotta come up with an anniversary for you, almost 10 years of you being a member.
Yeah, Star Jam was kind of weird and gave off a lot of weird vibes especially when literally all 6 of my notifications were from him (most of which he promptly deleted before I could even read them and found the audacity to ask why I never answered his "delete" messages.
Right now, anything helps as long as its not the stuff Star Jam did.
