Revolving Doors is the 2nd track of the Gorillaz' 2011 album The Fall.

Band member 2D spoke about his inspiration of this track on Murdoc's radio show, Pirate Radio:

"Well, this came from a thought, yeah, a feeling I had while I was away. As I was walkin’ into a hotel, though the doors, the revolving doors, and the dislocation of being away, y’know, out of sorts, away from home and, this image of this door permanently revolvin’, the endless repetition and the pointless rhythm of it all, I guess struck quite a melancholic image within me. Lyrics

Revolving doors, what have I done?
Someone on the TV
Attempting love
Revolving doors, what will I become?
A redneck song

He paid up for seven, but he only got eight now.
I feel that I'm paused by all the pills I seem to run
here.

On a foggy day (Revolving doors from London to a foggy day in Boston)
(Revolving doors from London to a foggy day in Boston)
(Revolving doors from London to a foggy day in Boston)
(Revolving doors from London to a foggy day in Boston)

(Revolving doors from London, to a foggy day in Boston)
I'm sitting in a diner, and The Beatles play.

I paid up for seven, but I only got eight.

So wait and now.

I feel that I'm paused by all the pills I seem to run
out here.
(Revolving doors in London to a foggy day in Boston)
Revolving doors
(Revolving doors in London to a foggy day in Boston)
Revolving doors
(Revolving doors in London to a foggy day in Boston)
Revolving doors. Stormy on an eastern sea board.
He's gonna sell you rubbish now.

He paid up for free, but got only two.

(Revolving doors in London, to a foggy day in Boston)
(Revolving doors in London, to a foggy day in Boston)
(Revolving doors in London, to a foggy day in Boston)
